We just wrapped 5 intensive days with CMA Advanced and 3 great days with a strong group of students from Sonic College (video below) - and tomorrow we continue with CMA Basic.

For those with some experience in digital music editing - for example from a home studio - who want new knowledge, business insight and professional clarification about their potential career in the industry.

We focus on:

Mixing & Mastering.

Plus valuable insights such as social media strategies - how to promote yourself.

In February 2026 we are running two Copenhagen Music Academy courses at MillFactory in Copenhagen – CMA Basic and CMA Advanced.

Both courses focus on practical music production skills and decision-making in a professional studio environment.

CMA Basic (2 days) is right for you if you:

• have basic experience with your DAW
• want to understand essential foundations such as acoustics and listening environment
• want to feel more confident using EQ, compressors and effects
• would like a kick-start to presenting your music on social media

CMA Basic takes place on February 21-22, 2026 and is intended as a solid foundation for producers, songwriters and artists who want more clarity in their workflow and production choices.

CMA Advanced (5 days) is right for you if you:

• have solid experience in music production
• want to work more in-depth with mix strategy, workflow and mastering
• want to improve vocal recording, vocal editing and vocal mixing
• would like strategies for generating income from your music
• want to move closer to a professional level

CMA Advanced takes place on February 21-25, 2026 and is designed for participants who already have experience and want to refine both technical and creative processes.

Teaching on both courses takes place in a professional studio environment at MillFactory and combines teaching, listening, discussion and hands-on work with your own material.

We’re introducing a new course at Copenhagen Music Academy focused on teaching songwriting with children and young people aged approximately 12–19 years.

Songwriting with Children and Young People is designed for teachers and educators who want practical tools for facilitating creative songwriting processes with groups of children and adolescents.

The course is right for you if you:

• work with children and young people aged roughly 12–19
• want concrete methods for leading collaborative songwriting processes
• are interested in creative music-making beyond performance and theory
• want a structured but flexible approach that works across age groups
• would like tools you can apply directly in your own teaching

The course is based on a proven, practice-led method developed through many years of teaching, including eight years as a travelling instructor in the KODA School Contact programme.

The format combines method introduction, observation and hands-on practice with an actual group of children or young people. Teaching focuses on process, participation and keeping the students’ own ideas at the centre of the creative work.

• would like strategies for generating income from your music
• want to move closer to a professional level

The course combines teaching, listening, discussion and hands-on work with your own material. We focus on practical decision-making and methods that can be applied directly in your own projects.

Teaching takes place in a professional studio environment at MillFactory.
